The night before graduation was the banquet. Kyle and I had been looking forward to this for years! It was just the two of us and it was all about celebrating my Doctor! The dinner was held at the Science Museum which was so cool! Dinner after hours in the Museum? Yes please!
It was a very fancy three course meal and it was delicious! The dessert was incredible. I would have had ten of them. They had all of the graduates pictures up on a big screen. There were speeches and awards. Then they called everyone up one by one and said what everyone was doing after graduation and gave them a little gift bag. It was so neat!
We sat with Jarom and his wife, Todd and his wife, mom, dad and brother and sister in law. Derik and Kaity were right behind us at a different table.
Kyle and his friends. These guys had way to much fun together over the past four years. Lots of ridiculous stories and text message conversations. Isaac wasn't able to come that night and we couldn't find Steven for the picture.
And then it was graduation day!!! The day we had been waiting for and dreaming of for years!! It was kind of a bummer, the weather was miserable. Low 50s, cold, windy and rainy. The graduation was supposed to be outside. The only way they would move it inside was if there was thunder and lightening. So all week we were dreading that we would have to sit outside in the freezing cold and rain! Luckily the day before they caved and moved it into a new hotel right down the street from the school. It was really nice! We were so grateful. It was such a beautiful ceremony!
Kyle had to leave early to "go to" an earlier graduation ceremony. He didn't end up going to that ceremony. Him and his friends played a last few games of pool and foosball. They spent a lot of time there over the years!
I had to snap a picture in Kyle's cap. I feel like I earned it a little bit too.
One of my favorite parts of graduation was my dad hooding Kyle! It was such a special thing.
My favorite picture from graduation. Introducing Dr. Kyle Cordner. Seriously he is the best.
I love this family of mine! We are so lucky to have a wonderful husband and father that does so much to make all of our dreams come true.
These are all pictures of us waiting for graduation to start.
Jane had everyone around us wrapped around her finger. I think the family in front of us was a little nervous about all the kids we had with us. 16 in total! Ha ha. But all the kids did great. Juliet had to "go to the bathroom" a couple times. Really she just wanted to get out of that room. After they called Kyle's name and he walked across the stage I let them watch Mickey Mouse on my phone for the rest of the 60+ graduates after Kyle.
These are the pictures of Kyle walking across stage and getting hooded. They are blurry because my camera can't handle an indoor setting. But I still love them!
This picture on more time... because its awesome!
All the family pictures after. We were walking on air. I started bawling when I saw Kyle for the first time.
This is my favorite family picture. Super real!
We love Derik and Kaity!
Kyle and Todd.
After the Graduation we headed over to our Church building. I had set up a little luncheon there for all of us. And it was so fun! I made a Soda bar for Kyle. All kinds of sodas and flavorings. I got black and gold cups and straws which was fun. We put Jane down for a nap in a pack n' play in an empty classroom. Ha ha. It made the lunch much more enjoyable.
Costco for the win for everything else! It was low key but delicious.
It was a perfect day! I love this man of mine. He is so hardworking. He is dedicated and loyal. He is patient and so sweet. He makes me feel so loved and special. He is the best dad to his girls. I am so lucky to be married to my best friend.
