Eliza is one!

Oh my sweet Eliza. Are you seriously a year old? Where did the time go??

You are the sweetest baby. If all babies were as sweet as you everyone would have 100 of them. I feel so bad that I haven't kept up on blogging this past year of your life. It is has seriously been a blur.
The joy you have brought to this family has been such a blessing.

You are beyond adored by your sisters. The first few months after you were born people would ask if the "newness" had worn off and if their interest in you had subsided a bit. No, their interest and love of you has only grown. They include you when they play in the loft. They want to hold you and carry you around. They can't stand it if you are sad. They will give you snacks, toys, and dance around to make you smile. You adore them too. You give them the sweetest hugs and pat them on the back. You get so excited when you wake up from your nap and hear their voices.

You are pretty obsessed with me (the feeling is very mutual). You will let people hold you and be totally content, until you see me. Then all bets are off and you want your mom.

You love to explore our house. You love to unload all the cabinets in the kitchen while I'm cooking or cleaning. You just move from one to the next and unload.

You love music! You dance so cute during singing time in primary. You love it when we sing "Old McDonald" in the car.
Speaking of the car. Its not your favorite. If we drive more than 20 minutes or if we stop at too many stop lights you start to lose your mind a little bit.

You love veggie straws and goldfish. You turn your nose up at off brand puffs. You do not like formula or Whole milk. So we're trying to figure that out. You are my pickiest eater at this age.

Your favorite spot in the house is the loft. You love all the different things to dump out, explore and stick in your mouth. Luckily you are really good at spitting out whatever is in your mouth. Unless its an old goldfish you've found, then you will not open your mouth for anything!

I am still nursing you, you are close to setting the record for longest nursed baby. I still nurse you to sleep before your nap everyday. I am pretty sure you don't need that anymore, but I can't stop. Having you fall asleep on me and snuggling you close every day is the best. After a crazy morning of being so, so busy I just sit and hold you close. I look at your sweet baby chubbiness and just drink you in. You are changing so fast and I just want to hold onto every second.

Eliza you are so precious to all of us. Don't you ever forget it. You are an important part of our team already! Thank you for brining so much love, laughter and a ridiculous amount of cuteness into our home.

Love,

Dad, Mom, Abby, Juliet and Jane.
