We went to Arizona for Christmas this year. It was so much fun. It was a dream trip. In the beginning Abby and Juliet were sick. Then I got sick. But once we got all of that nasty out of the way we were ready to party. We ate tons of good food and were able to just play and hang out with family. It was awesome. I'm so grateful for our wonderful families. Juliet and Abby were in heaven. And they were so worn out.
Here are all of the pictures we took during the trip. They are all over the place so I'll just explain each one as I go.
This is the first of many pictures like this. Abby was so worn out. She would fall asleep almost every time we got in the car. She partied hard.
Abby had so much fun playing with Halee and Tragdon. This picture is one of my all time favorites. Abby cracks me up!
Asleep on the way home from church. She was not about to go to nursery without her leaders and her friends. Now that we are home she goes straight into nursery.
Abby loved my parent's loft. She had so much fun playing with all of the books and toys. Halee and Tragdon were so good to play with her and to share their toys with her.
Abby kept falling sleep on Kyle too. He loved it. She never does anything like that.
We went hiking with all of my dad's family when they were in Arizona. It was so beautiful and nice. Abby had so much fun playing in the dirt and running around with the kids.
Snuggled up with her Aunt Lacee. She adores Lacee. It's so sweet.
Abby also adored poor little jack. Luckily that is a sweet little dog. Abby would not leave him alone. She just wanted to love on him all day long.
Playing in the tub. These are the sweetest little girls. I seriously can't get over their sweet little spirits. They are so much to have around.
On Juliets birthday my parents hosted a Christmas Concert in their home. Complete with broadway singers and all. It was seriously amazing and very professional. It was so fun to have so many wonderful talented people preform. We visited with some wonderful people. Abby was over at Valerie and Jackson's house. She had so much fun over there she almost didn't want to come home. Juliet stayed with us and was an angel. It was such a neat experience.
My favorite moment was talking with this Elder on Christmas morning. Love this boy. It was so fun to get to see him and see how wonderful he is doing. He is so happy and in love with Germany. I am so proud of him. I look forward to his emails every week. He always makes me laugh.
The girls spoils for Christmas morning. They got so many wonderful Christmas gifts. Our families are too good to us! We all got everything we could have wanted and more. It was wonderful! It was so fun watching Abby on Christmas morning. It took her a second to get going but once she caught on she was all over it. She got M&Ms in her stocking and she freaked out when she was opening it. I couldn't have asked for a better reaction. It was adorable.
This sweet baby makes my whole life happy. She just lights up any room that she is in. People are drawn to her and she always makes them smile. She is such a joy.
This is New Years Eve in Albuquerque. Kyle had to start back into school on 2nd so we had to head back on the 31st. That stunk! But it ended up being pretty cool. Tim was on an overnight in Albuquerque so Kyle went and picked him up and we went out to dinner together. It was a fun way to spend New Years Eve. We were in bed by 9:30, but that was actually kind of nice. We had a full out dance party before we went to bed. I just love this little family of mine.
Going out to dinner with all of my dad's brothers and sisters and the oldest grandchildren. It was so fun and delicious.
The drive from Gilbert to Albuquerque, the girls finally fell asleep and slept for the last 2 hours. It rocked.
Seriously the sweetest little baby.
We celebrated Juliet's first birthday while we were down there. I still can't believe she is a year old. It went by so fast. I made her a candy cane cupcake cake for her birthday party. We had all of our family over for lunch and had cake, ice cream and presents. It was perfect for our little Christmas baby.
Juliet LOVED the cupcakes. It was pretty cute to watch her chow down.
She wasn't really into opening the gifts, but she loved seeing what they were once they were open. She didn't to keep anything for very long. Abby would grab them and run off. We are still working on sharing, although Abby is pretty good with her little sister.
She was very excited about some new blocks!
She was a little confused by the singing and the candle. Luckily all the other kids were there to blow out the candle and spit all over the cake.
This is a sneak peak of Juliet's 1 year photos that my mom took. They turned out Amazing! This little girls likes to have her pictures taken.
Kyle went with all of my family to race go carts. I went and hung out at the cordner's with the girls. Kyle had a blast and ended up getting second place!
Kyle assisted my dad at the Mission of Mercy before Christmas. He had a lot of fun helping and seeing some really crazy cases. One kid had meth mouth and my dad pulled like 8 teeth. He was a really young kid so it was sad.
All of the teens on their phones.
I went running in the mornings with my mom. It was so nice to not be freezing when I was running. And the view was unbeatable. I had to keep stopping and taking pictures.
We took Tragdon to see the temple lights with us. It was so fun. Abby just loves that kid.
Snuggled up watching a movie together.
The German Book of Mormon.
We went to the Vintage Ranch Ward Christmas Party with Kyle's parents. It was so much fun! They had a back to Bethlehem night. Everyone dressed up, and the cultural hall was decorated so cute. We had a lot of fun.
And this is what we came home to. We went from weather in the 70s to weather in the 30s. It was a little depressing.
We had the funnest time in Arizona. I will always treasure those memories. I love being with family, but it was actually surprising to me how much I missed our Colorado friends. They have become like family to us and we really missed everyone! So it has been nice to be back, but we really look forward to our next visit!
