April has been absolutely beautiful this year! With only two snow storms that I can think of. The grass is already green again and all the trees and bushes are blossoming! It has been amazing. We have been outside walking, grilling, having all the windows open and have enjoyed sandals and no coats. I'm in heaven. This is is why I wanted to live in Colorado, beautiful springs and summers.
These pictures are all over the place so I'll just write explain each one as I go.
Poor Abby has been having a hard time going #2. She got a little bit constipated after we started potty training her. Then she decided it would hurt if she went poop and wouldn't go. For days at a time. And when she does need to go she holds it as long as possible until it just comes. So I've been trying to help her by feeding her lots of stuff to keep her loose. One of her favorites is corn on the cob. She will eat the entire thing by herself. Its adorable and it helps her out. She has been getting better, but it could take months, even years to get her to not dread going poop. It has been an adventure.
I love this picture of Abby. She had brought me her "cake" and I took a picture of it. She found it on the photo stream, turned around and said "good girl mom, good picture". I love her words and phrases. Its really neat to start seeing how she sees and interprets the world. She is defiantly her own little person. He newest thing is to say "Ya, sure" to whatever we say. Even if she suggests it. Her hair is getting so long. She likes it when I put it in a pony tail, but it never lasts the entire day. She always takes them out.
For Kyle's birthday this month we went to the zoo. Abby wanted to walk the entire time and she was wiped out. It was fun to get to hold her in my arms for a little bit, but she is so heavy!
This is Abby watching a video of Lacee and Halee that they sent to us. She loved watching it.
Watching the sea lion show at the zoo. Abby wasn't very impressed, but kyle and I loved it. Look at her pony tail! It is so luscious!
Our sweet girls in their Easter dresses. I love having them match. They are the cutest little things in the entire world.
Juliet has been cutting 2 molars, and I think I found a canine today. This picture sums up what she has been like the past few weeks. Sad, sad, sad and has a terribly runny nose. She still manages to be the sweetest thing, even with her new found ability to throw tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants. I think she learned that from
When I was making Kyle's birthday cake and dinner I was a little distracted and it was lunch time. Juliet got tired of waiting for me and went to help herself to some hot dog buns.
This little girl loved the swings! She just sat and sang songs while I pushed her. She is getting so big and grown up. She walks everywhere and I finally found her some shoes that will stay on her feet and will fit over her chubby little feet. Now she is even happier that she can cruise around at the park and outside when we go for walks.
This little girls can sleep, she is the best sleeper. She has spoiled us rotten and makes me so nervous to have another baby. Abby has been waking up at night between 1 and 10 times almost every night since Christmas. So it is a relief that Juliet will sleep so well. She looks so peaceful.
Abby held Kyle's hand the entire time we were at the zoo. I'm so grateful she has grown out of her running away stage. Now Jules has taken that role over. As soon as I put her down she takes off. Abby stays right with me now and always wants to hold hands. It is the best!
Kyle and Abby rode the carousel. Abby really wanted to ride it, and then she wouldn't sit on one of the horses, so they sat in the bench and snuggled. She didn't love it once it started to move.
After the zoo on Kyle's birthday we had some friends (the picos and the bendixsens) over for cake and ice cream. It was so much fun. We all just talked for hours. We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends.
The amazing cake I made for kyle. I must say it was very impressive and incredibly delicious.
For Kyle's birthday I got him Saving Mr. Banks and Dr. Pepper and Vanilla Coke. He was pretty excited.
The week after conference my mom and Halee came to visit for Ashlee's baptism. It was a quick trip but we had so much fun. Other the drive over to Littelton where we stopped at not one, not two, not three but FOUR gas stations so that Abby could try and go to the bathroom. She only went at two. That was a really rough day. But I was so glad my mom was there to help me, and that we got to see Ashlee get baptized!
Last weekend I went out shopping with these two amazing women. I love them both so much. I'm so grateful to have them in my life. They do so much to support me and I'm so lucky to have them. We all get along so well and have a lot of fun together.
Me and Abby at the zoo. Look at how green and beautiful it is getting! So exciting!
My sweet little Jules. She was such a trooper. She was running a low fever from her teeth and still just sat and enjoyed the ride at the zoo.
One last one of the sea lion show. It was so cool!
April has been so much fun! I'm sad that it is almost over. But this summer is going to be even better. We got some money for Kyle's birthday and we bought camping stuff with it. We can't wait to try it out! There are some pretty fun adventures in store for this summer!
