Coloring Easter Eggs

I don't really have a ton to write with these pictures. But I loved how these turned out. We dyed the eggs during the first session of conference and they had so much fun. I made over 18 eggs and Kyle didn't think we do all of them. The girls had them all colored so fast! They loved eating them too. It was so much fun. I love doing these things and making these memories with them. Its so much fun!

March

March has been the month we have been so excited for since June! Our sweet Eliza finally came. She has been the sweetest baby. We are so blessed and so happy she is here with us. It is so crazy to have 6 people living in our house. SIX!!! Even though Eliza is so tiny, she really fills a hole I didn’t know was here. We absolutely adore her and can’t wait to watch her grow up.

March started out with lots of walking, running, jumping on the trampoline and doctors appointments trying to convince baby girl to come out! Kyle and I would put the girls down and once they were asleep we would walk around around street a couple of times, stopping to check on the girls each time we passed our house. It was so much fun. I love being with him, and it was nice to spend that time together talking and focusing on each other. There was this cat that would follow us each night. It was pretty fun.

That first Saturday we went to the Riparian preserve to fee the ducks and go to the Library. Abby started having the weirdest rash that really scared us. So we went home to get some Benadryl in her. The next day I stayed home from church with her because the rash wasn’t any better. That weekend was really rough for me. There were a lot of contractions and a lot of pain without any results. It was terrible.  I called into my doctors office Monday morning and was able to get in that afternoon. That night we were in the hospital to have Eliza!!! I went from feeling like I was going to be pregnant forever to being in the hospital in full out labor in just a few hours. It was crazy!!

Those first couple of weeks with Eliza were crazy. She has been an angel baby! She has been sleeping and eating great, which was such a blessing, because her sisters kind of fell apart. Turns out that rash Abby had was called 5ths disease. Luckily she didn’t get very sick and the rash went away fast. Then after Eliza was about a week old Juliet got the stomach flu really bad. She was sick for a couple of days. Of course it was the two longest days kyle has had at work EVER! That was pretty rough. But I handled it.

Then Juliet got better and Jane started getting sick. I thought she just had the same thing as Jules. Her fever was really high though, and she just slept and slept. She never threw up or anything. She seemed to be getting sicker and sicker and then Monday night her ear drum burst. We kept asking her what hurt all weekend and she never said anything about her ear!! We felt terrible. Kyle took her to the doctor that night and the next day after a little hiccup with our insurance we were able to get her some antibiotics. After getting those in her she started feeling so much better and we finally had our happy Jane back!!

So that was probably the least fun spring break we have ever had. We couldn’t leave the house the entire week! It was really rough. But everyone is healthy now and we are so happy!

The rest of the month was full of being busy, but not really doing anything. Its crazy how overwhelmingly busy and boring having a newborn in the house is. Its just the season of life we are in right now. Lots of naps and nursing and trying to take care of everyone else’s needs. It’s a lot of work! But I love it.

We did try to make it to our ward easter egg hunt. The girls were sooooo excited! They had been packing around their baskets all afternoon. They did the hunt at night, which was a little different. We were supposed to bring flashlights because they were going to do it when it got dark. We got there about 15 minutes late, because we don’t do dinner at those activities anymore. It’s too crazy to get plates for 5 people and waiting in line forever while the girls are all hungry. So we ate before we left and we missed the hunt! I guess a bunch of neighborhood people came over (which is great!) but they just let their kids start getting the eggs, so as people came they just took the eggs and it was over in a couple of minutes. So most of the ward missed it. Our girls were so bummed. Luckily some of the young women scrounged up some eggs and extra candy to give our girls so they didn’t go home empty handed. It was pretty sad. Luckily on Easter they got to have two egg hunts. So it was a pretty exciting Easter season.

I love this little family. The girls have been such great big sisters yet again. We are all so ready for summer we can be on our own schedule again.  These girls love being together. Separating for school is pretty rough each day.  But we’re almost there! I can’t believe Juliet is almost in Kindergarten. So crazy! Juliet lost her second tooth in March too! So many adventures with these amazing girls. We are so blessed.

When Kyle and I would go walking at night trying to get Eliza out this cat would come walk with us. She came almost every night! She looks like the cat I had in high school. I really enjoyed her company.

Abby cracks me up. I love finding stuff like this all over the house.

Abby's rash!

My last run the day I went into labor. I was done.

Kyle fixing the curtains the day I went into labor. He asked me why I took this picture and I told him I want to remember these moments. He is such a good husband and caretaker of this family.

Being admitted!! I was so excited and so happy!

Seeing my sweet baby for the first time. She is perfect. Seriously perfect.

Kyle always buys me flowers when I'm in the hospital. Its the sweetest.

All the big sisters meeting the littlest sister.

Opening their gift from Eliza.

I think she was a little nervous to go home! I loved her going home outfit though. She is the cutest.

My beautiful mother. My girls are so lucky to have her. She is the biggest blessing in my life.

Tragdon was so sweet with her. He has the softest little heart.

Realizing I really do have 4 human beings that I have to keep alive!! Yikes!

She has the longest feet! Look at those!

These sisters just want to hold her.... all .... the.... time! I love it, and it really stresses me out all at the same time.

I love this. Abby wrote, sisters are the best friends Abby, juliet, jane and Eliza (although she didn't know how to spell her name yet).

Tiny baby in a big bed!

One day all they wanted was bread for a snack. I have about 50 pictures of them making funny faces with bread.

Sleepy smiles

Juliet with the stomach flu.

On of my young women and the sister missionaries heart attacked our house a couple days after we got home. It was the nicest thing. They had the nicest things written on the hearts. It made me feel so good! Abby took the hearts and put them on the wall with a really nice note she wrote herself. It was exactly what I needed those first few weeks.

The big debate has been does she have blue or brown eyes?! A month later we still don't know. They aren't as dark as Juliet's and Janes', but they aren't as blue as Abby's.

Our ward was so fantastic in bringing us meals. Seriously we were so blessed. I think these cinnamon rolls won the month though. So good!

I love these four!

Poor sick Jane.

My dad gave a TED talk! We weren't able to go because of baby, but I can't wait to hear it when they post it online!

Jane and Eliza in the same outfit at the same age.

Playing outside.

I guess Abby doesn't love math. I got the biggest kick out of this drawing. She is my little artist!

Jane asking for Easter candy for breakfast. Look at this face! How could I say no?!

We did a fun Easter week countdown. Unfortunately I ran out of energy and time those last few days and we didn't finish it. But we tried right? We'll do better next year.

One day we talked about some Christ's parables. This is Abby's drawing of the Good Samaritan. I loved it!

Jules' lost tooth.

The cutest toothless smile.

Juliet struggles with personal space. Seriously seriously struggles with personal space.

Conference started on March 31st this year. That night during the priesthood session we took Halee and Lacee to the baked bear in the San Tan mall and walked around the disney store. It was a really fun night and exactly what I needed.
