The Cordners: April

April was awesome. We spent the first few weeks being massively pregnant and ready to pop! We welcomed baby Jane and Kyle turned 28!!

^^ Kaity ROCKED a half marathon on Conference weekend. She made it in almost under 2 hours. Thats shaving of 10 minutes from our first half marathon! She is incredible.

^^ Jane's two week doctors check up. This appointment was an adventure. It started out with us weighing her and finding out that she had gained plenty of weight. Which is exciting for our tiny little girls. She was in the 50th percentile for height and weight. Jules never broke 25th percentile and Abby has never been on the percentiles. Then the Nurse practitioner started looking her over. And randomly she had a little bit of blood in her diaper. Abby had the same thing happen a couple of times when she was little and then never again. The Nurse Practitioner told me that Jane had a cows milk allergy. I was going to have to go completely off of dairy. And not just milk and ice cream and cheese. I never realized but dairy is in EVERYTHING. Its in the taco seasoning mix. But not oreos (gross right?!) I did a lot of research, shed a lot of tears, said a lot of prayers. It was so hard. Everything we eat has dairy, so I had to find new things to make for dinner and lunch. Forget about eating out. It was going to be a HUGE lifestyle change and I was nervous. The strange thing is, Jane didn't have any other symptoms. No rash, no respiratory issues, no reflux, no fussiness (she is easily my calmest baby), she sleeps great, eats great and is growing like a weed. So we talked to our good friend who just graduated from Medical school and is getting ready to start a residency in pediatrics. She told us if it was her she would wait and see if she continued to have bloody diapers or if any other symptoms developed or to see if she stopped growing the way she should. So we decided to wait and watch her. Its been 6 weeks since that appointment and no more bloody diapers and not one other symptom. We've weighed her at home and she is growing like crazy! So long story short, we think it was a misdiagnosis. I am so grateful that we were able to go back to our normal eating routine. Life is already crazy with three little ones, having to totally rearrange everything was making it harder than it needed to be. We'll keep watching her, but we are confident that she is totally fine.
