Summer San Diego Trip

We had the funnest family trip to San Diego this summer. We took it a lot easier this time than we did the last time we did this trip and we all enjoyed it a lot.

We drove a different way to California than we have ever done before. We went south through Yuma and it was such a fun drive! We drove right along the border with Mexico. Yuma was nice to drive through because there were so many restaurants. We decided to stop at the cracker barrel since we weren't in a huge hurry. Then we got to drive through the dunes which was so cool! We loved seeing that. The drive went really fast, Eliza even slept for the last hour or so.

That afternoon I went out shopping and had a very entertaining interaction with some San Diego locals. One lady was convinced that I was a girl who hooked up with her ex-husband. Who was just out of prison. Nope... not me. Ha ha!

That night we met up some friends that happened to be staying in San Diego too. We met up at the Beach and took some amazing pictures!! It was so fun to play together and get some remarkable photos to remember it by.

The next morning we went back to the beach for a beach day. It was cloudy and cold but we still had so much fun. We collected sea shells, jumped over waves, dug out a boat in the sand and just had so much fun.

The next day we went to the Mormon Battalion Museum. That was super cool, we really enjoyed the experience. Then we walked around Old Town San Diego and had some lunch.

The last thing we did was to go to the Ocean Side Pier which was an entertaining experience. Incredible people watching. The sunset was gorgeous and it was so fun to explore as a family.

We also did a lot of swimming and playing at the resort too. They have a building with all kinds of crafts. So one day I took the girls down there and they all painted different piggy banks. We made some really epic slow motion videos of us jumping on the bed in the hotel.

The drive back went really smooth too. It was just an all around great trip. It is so fun to make these kinds of memories with our girls. They are the best!

Eliza took her macaroni covered hands and ran them through her fluffy hair. I was laughing so hard. She is so cute no matter how big of a mess she makes.

Happy girls! They are such great travelers.

They were being "statues". I loved their poses!

We went to a famous donut place for breakfast one morning. They had the yummiest donuts!! Abby was not a big fan of hers.
