Random fun

Abby loves peeling her own cuties. We probably went through twenty bags in December. Now they aren't as yummy so we've stopped buying them. Such a bummer because they were such a yummy, easy and healthy snack.

I found this in the hallway the other day. I love seeing Abby use her imagination.

Look at how perfect her little hands are folded. She always does this while she is eating and sleeping. Such a sweet little girl.

Abby is obsessed with this little woody doll. They do everything together including eating together. Abby always insists that he sit with her, and eat her food with her. As soon as I pulled the camera out at breakfast she pulled this huge cheesy grin. She always makes me laugh!

Sometimes it is really hard to keep Jules happy, but awake before it is actually bed time. For some reason she really likes this position and only daddy can really make it work. Kyle thought she was asleep because she was so relaxed, but she was wide awake.

Abby loves to unload all of my cupboards at least 3 times a day.

Naps with daddy are the best!

Life is full of lots of messes, diaper changes, studying and snuggling around our house. Kyle is in probably one of his busiest semesters of his entire academic career. And I am in one of the busiest times of my life trying to keep my sanity and get things done around the house while juggling these two little girls. Its crazy, but it is such a fun time of life!

1 month

Time has been flying by. I can't believe this little angel is already a month old. She is the most special little spirit and I am so grateful for her. She was exactly what our house needed. She is so peaceful and content. This past month has been an adventure adjusting to a family of four. But it has been amazing. Little Jules is a great eater and has already gained a lot of weight. I weighed her the other day and she was already 10lbs! She has been sleeping through the night, even though she has a cough. She will wake up for a second at night and put herself right back to sleep. Her only really fussy time is in the evening. She is awake to longest from 5-9 and it wears her out and she wants to be held.

We actually blessed Jules on her 1 month birthday while we were in Arizona. It was the same day Carson gave his farewell talk. All our family was there, and it was a really special day. Carson was even able to stand in the circle and help bless Juliet. I'll post on just that special day later.

Abby just adores her and won't ever leave her alone. She wants to be kissing her, hugging her and or just be next to her. It makes me so happy to see them together. I'm excited for Jules to be more aware of Abby so that they can have more fun interacting.

Even though its only been a month it feels like Juliet has always been here. Our family feels a little bit more complete now. We love you Jules!

Bath time

Abby loves bath time. She could play in there forever if we let her. When we take her out the water is freezing, I don't know how she stands it. She has a ton of fun bath toys that I never let her take out of the bathroom, so it is so exciting to get to play with them.

She will each and everyone of them on the ledge, then knock them back into the water and start over again. Its so fun to watch her play!

I love my family!

My mom came down the day after Christmas to visit and yet again take amazing pictures! (check out all of the family Christmas photos she has taken here)

This is sweet little Juliet at exactly one week old.

Our little Christmas Gift, the best one I've ever had!

I can hardly handle those sweet little eyes. She is so beautiful!

I love this picture, it could possible be my favorite. It says so much about our sweet little Abby and her personality. She did not want to have anything to do with us or our picture taking. She is trying to see Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the TV around my mom.

Kyle is the best dad in the entire world. He adores his girls, and they adore him. The best part of Abby's day is when she hears the garage door open and runs into the laundry room to wait for Kyle to come in. He has been such a huge help to me these past few weeks. Even though he has the huge stress of school he come home as fast as he can, with a smile on his face and drops everything to help me. He gets up at night to bounce Juliet back to sleep or change her diaper. He even gets up with her in the morning so I can get a little bit more sleep. I seriously don't know how I got so lucky, but I am so grateful every day for my best friend.

I just love this little family of mine. Being a young mother is not the easiest thing. I sacrifice so much physically, giving up my body and my sleep to have these little girls here. It is amazing to me how much mothers give, and it makes me even more grateful for all my mom did for me. Having these little spirits here is worth any sacrifice. They are so precious and they mean the world to me. I am so excited to be apart of their lives and watch them experience the world for the first time.

I love kissing this little face!

Her precious little feet. They make Abby's feet look huge!

All of that dark hair, its so cute.

I love these two little girls. Abby is the best big sister. I can already tell that Abby was supposed to be our first child. She is going to protect and love her little brothers and sisters. She has such a sweet loving spirit.

Life has changed so much in the past 3 weeks. I am so grateful for my little family. I've never been happier in my entire life. I am so incredibly blessed.

Best Surprise EVER!

This weekend I had one of the best surprises in my life. As I've said this was my first Christmas away from my family and it was really difficult. Especially because I know how much Abby adores everyone, and I really wanted them all to meet Juliet. My mom was able to come up the day after Christmas to visit and see Jules. I was so glad she came, but I was still missing everyone else. Well Friday morning I was getting our guest bedroom ready because Kyle's Brother in law was coming to stay late that night with us because he had a flight early in the morning. After I got done I was just sitting down playing with the girls. I heard our doorbell ring. I hardly ever answer the door, especially when its in the morning and I'm still in my pajamas. We were expecting a package so I decided I better answer the door. That was when I got the biggest shock of my life. There was my dad and my little sister on my door step. They both started laughing at my face because I was stunned. I had no idea that they were coming. I was so excited to see them. They had just come up for the weekend because my dad had decided he couldn't wait another couple of weeks to meet his new granddaughter. It was so much fun having them in my house, and getting to see them with Abby and Jules.

That night we went to Bass Pro shop to buy some things, and went out to dinner. The next day Kyle and my dad went snowboarding/skiing and Lacee stayed and played with me. We had a fun girls day and painted our nails, went to target and ate lots of junk food. It was so fun to get to see my little sister and spend some real quality time with her. I didn't have to share her with anyone (except Abby who just adores her). When the guys came back we ordered Outback takeout and had a yummy dinner at home. Then they headed back to the airport for a late flight home. It was so good to have them here. I'm so grateful for wonderful supportive families. I don't think my dad will every know how much that meant to me that he took the time to come see me. I know how busy my parents are, and the fact that they both took time out to see me makes me feel so good. I love my family so much and it is hard to be away from them. I can't wait to see them again in less than two weeks!

We took this picture right before they left, Abby cried and cried after they walked out the door. She loved having them here and was devastated when they left. I can't wait until the next time I can get my family back up here again!

Christmas!

Christmas 2012 was a special one. It was my first away from my family, which was really hard and I missed them like crazy. It was Juliet's first Christmas, and it was so special having a new born on Christmas. I mean that is what Christmas is all about, and it was so special to think of Christ as a small helpless, perfect little baby. It was also really fun to have Kelly and Keri with us. I was grateful they were there, I would have been devastated if we didn't have any of our family to celebrate with us. Christmas Eve we stayed up after Abby went to bed and set up her gifts. We were so excited to see her face on Christmas morning. She is still too little to understand what is happening, but she got the idea on Christmas morning.

Abby was a little confused after she woke up, but she got the hang of it and had a really fun morning playing with new toys. I think she was a little disappointed when she woke up the next morning, and there weren't any new toys.

Santa brought her this wagon with blocks. She loves to push things around, and fill stuff up with all her treasures. Santa hit the nail on the head with this gift, he (me) may have been a little proud of himself that morning for finding the perfect gift.

Her popi (my dad) gave her this little play kitchen. She loves it, we put it up in her room and she kept going up there by herself to play with it.

Look what we woke up to on Christmas morning! A white Christmas. So awesome!

Juliet had a great time Christmas morning...

Sibling love. I hope Abby is always this sweet with her, she just adores her!

Abby loved her new doll from Aunt Angell.

Juliet snuggled with Keri all morning.

This is Kyle opening the present I was so excited to give him.

I got him a new towel for his golf clubs that has a Colorado Buffalo on it. Go Buffs!

Kyle got me a case for my kindle that has a light on it so I can read at night while I'm up nursing. I love it!

Then we had to go sledding and play in the snow!

Abby enjoyed the sledding, but she didn't enjoy the snow if it touched her in any way. It was cold!

Juliet's cute Christmas outfit!

Kyle has really gotten into foosball at the school. He plays it on his breaks with his friends. He really wants to get a foosball table for our house. But we are poor.. so its not going to happen. When I saw this little beauty at Ross I knew I had to get it. Kyle laughed pretty hard over it, but its actually been pretty fun. One day we will get a real foosball table, but until then this will have to do.

We had a great Christmas. It was one that will always be really special to me. We made some wonderful memories and added an new member to our family.

I don't have any pictures to post of New Years Eve or day. It didn't seem worth it to stay up until midnight when our newborn was sound asleep. It didn't sound like fun to take our newborn and our 19 month old out to party either. So we went and visited our friends that had just closed on their new house, then came home and put the girls to bed. Kyle and I wished each other a happy new years when I got up that night to nurse Jules. 2012 was one of the best years we've ever had. We found out that we got into 3 different dental schools, decided on which one we were going to go to. We found out we were pregnant. Abby turned 1. We moved to Colorado, and Kyle started school. I finished school. And we finished up the year with little baby Jules. 2013 is going to have to work hard to top 2012!

Kyle started back up with school on the 2nd and he has been super busy already. I've started on the adventure of being at home with girls by myself. Its been interesting and luckily it hasn't been too crazy. I've been feeling great, and the girls have been awesome. We're really looking forward to watching these two little girls grow up!
