The Day I found out

I wrote all of this down the day we found out about Baby Jane.

I just found out that I am pregnant with baby number 3 today. Number 3. Holy cow that sounds so crazy. I have been off birth control for a few months now. So we knew every month was a possibility. But I did not feel pregnant at all, so I figured it would still be a few months. I hadn't necessarily been feeling ready to be pregnant again, but the feeling has been growing and growing that our family was ready to grow.

By looking at the calendar today I realized that if I was or was not pregnant a pregnancy test would be able to tell me today. I took it and the test line immediately appeared, but not the pregnant line. I figured that was how it would be so I changed into my workout clothes and got ready to go do a T25. As I turned to walk out of the bathroom I saw the test again with a definite pregnancy line. My jaw dropped. I was shocked. With Jules and Abby I was certain I was pregnant before I took the test. I haven't been feeling sick, and other than being a little bit more emotional than usual I felt totally normal.

I just stood there as all these thoughts started running through my head. I had to decide if I was going to tell Kyle right now or wait until later. I am the worst at keeping secrets. It will be a miracle if I make to 10 weeks without telling anyone. Seriously a miracle. So I came out of the bathroom and knelt down next to Kyle who was checking stuff on his phone. This is how the conversation went:

K: I don't want to go to school today.
Me: Well then stay home so we can celebrate.
K: Celebrate what? The beginning of third year?
Me: No.
K: Then what?
Me: (Big Smile on my face)
K:Then what????
Me: (Keep smiling as he starts to realize)
K: Are you pregnant?!?!

The he gave me the biggest hug and I told him the whole story of the pregnancy test. I love telling Kyle I'm pregnant. His reaction is always the best. Pure joy and excitement. I love building a family with him. He couldn't stop smiling the rest of the morning. But I didn't convince him to stay home. Something about school being important and what not.

So now I'm home waiting for the girls to wake up so we can get our busy day started thinking about how crazy the next 9 months are going to be. I am nervous for my body to change again. I'm nervous about being so sick with two little girls and no family around. I worried about how we will handle 4th year with 3 kids!! Are we having a boy? A girl? How sick will I be? Will I be able to keep working out so I can stay strong and have an easier recovery? How will I do all of this with my calling?

And then I can't help but smile and wonder what this baby will look like. We'll find out the gender right before Thanksgiving. I'll be 14 weeks when we go to Disneyland so I shouldn't be sick and I should have my energy back. One day I will go to Disneyland and not be pregnant or nursing...one day. I'm so excited to see how Jules and Abby will do with this new baby. They will love it. Jules will be almost 2 and half and Abby will be one month shy of being 4. 5 people is a big family! I will have a big family! I am in serious disbelief right now.

I can't wait to make a doctors appointment and hear the little heart beat and see the little peanut.

I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father and for him giving us this blessing. He is trusting us with another little spirit. Our little family is growing. This is all I have ever wanted and even though it is so scary, it is also exciting. I can't wait to meet this little baby. I can't wait to feel it move. I can't wait to hold it and bring it into our family!

Its going to be an exciting 9 months. 

Now I am 25 weeks and feeling great! Little baby is very very active. I have been feeling great! The sickness from 6 to about 18 weeks was miserable. But I managed to keep working out through it all. I ran a 10k at 13 weeks. I did an insanity this morning. I am trying really hard to manage my weight gain this time and keep my body strong. I want to be able to bounce back fast so that I can be the fun mom I want to be and that my active girls deserve! Its been a fun adventure being pregnant, but I can't wait for this sweet baby girl to be here!

We love to call her Baby Jane, so Jane will most likely be her name. Halee told me I would look really dumb if I changed it now. I guess I would because I wrote baby Jane on her Christmas gift. 

Her due date is April 20th but we would love for her to come on April 17th and share a birthday with her dad! We can't wait to see when she decides to come and how it will all play out. We love her so much already! 

23 weeks ^^

December

December was a fun and very stressful month. Kyle finishing up the semester and getting a break was so incredibly needed. We were running out of steam, and his classes and the clinic were so stressful! So we tried to enjoy the warm december that we had and do some fun Christmas festivities while he was still in school. 

I made this awesome Christmas Advent that follows the life of Christ. Abby really like putting up the little tiles each day. So much in fact that one day while I was asleep she put all of them on there. Ha ha. 

Walking around the mall at Christmas time is a must! The Park meadows mall is amazing. Their Santa display was incredible. Abby couldn't take her eyes off of it!

One day after church Jules was so tired she fell asleep on the floor and Abby felt like she was cold. So she put every blanket she could find on top of her. It was the cutest thing. Those two look out for each other... most of the time.

I got the stomach flu not fun. Abby kept telling me she was sick too so she could lay in bed with me and eat the saltine crackers that I couldn't stomach.

Juliet LOVES monster smoothies. Like a lot. She sat and ate this one for an entire hour until she had licked the cup clean. She can be really picky when it comes to veggies so I am so glad that she loves these.

Juliet Turns 2

Its been two years since this sweet little girl came into our lives. I can't believe we ever lived without her. She makes life so much more fun. She gets so excited about everything. Seriously everything. And it is contagious. She is always making us laugh. She talks so well, and learns new words every single day. She loves to sing with her sister, although she can only get the last word of every line out. She is so incredibly lovable and affectionate. She will give hugs and kisses without us asking. She loves to hold hands and be held. She loves to snuggle up against us, even if its only for second. She loves, loves, loves her big sister. More than anyone else in the world. They do absolutely everything together. Everything. Luckily Jules is pretty go with the flow, most of the time. She will usually go along with whatever it is that Abby wants to do. They play so cute together. Juliet loves princesses, most especially Ariel, and Anna. She loves to dress up, but she won't ever let me put anything in her hair. It doesn't bother her to get dirty, she is always a mess. She loves to destroy things. I have to watch her so close or else she is destroying something. 

I could go on and on about this little girl. I wish that I could write down and remember everything about how she is right now. Her rolly polly little thighs and her little starfish hands. Her puppy dog brown eyes and ridiculously long eyelashes. Her sweet smiles, and her precious attempts at a thumbs up. The way her hands twist, and her mouth drops open when she gets excited. How she refuses to stay where we are and constantly is running in the opposite direction. How she gives her apology hugs. Her sad face. Her laugh. Her smiles. Her singing. 

She is the best little friend. We had so much fun celebrating her birthday in Arizona with family. 

We started out the night be eating dinner at Joe's Farm House Grill. I knew she would love that place because she could run around and she could have french fries. 

Tara had flown in that day to meet up with Kelly so they could drive up to Colorado for Christmas. It was perfect timing so they could come play with us!

Abby absolutely refused to join in the family pictures. It was a beautiful night though, and it was so fun sitting and laughing with each other.

Then we headed back to Mema and Poppi's house for cake and gifts. Abby wouldn't let jules get anywhere near to opening the presents. Or playing with her birthday balloons. Hopefully next year she will start to get the concept of Juliet's birthday versus her birthday. Ha ha.

 Juliet got a new stuffed doggy from Grandma and Grandpa Cordner, and then a barking woofing "woof woof" from mommy and daddy. Abby gave Jules the new ariel book. I think Jules was most excited about the Ariel book. She seriously loves her. My parents got her a little music set. Which they loved, and immediately started driving us nuts!

For her cake we found a cake boss cake. That man knows what he is doing. They are delicious. It looked like a frozen cake which totally worked for us. Although we didn't really care what it looked like. It tasted amazing!

Jules loved everyone singing to her. And blew out the candles with a little (a lot) of help from Tragdon and Abby. 

Oh sweet little Jules. We seriously love you. Thank you for being such a bright happy spot in all of our lives. Keep being strong willed, happy and loving. Heres to another year with you!

november

November was a stressful month. Kyle had some big set backs at school and he was so busy the entire month. Lots of late nights at school and lots and lots of stress. 

But we had a lot of fun too! 

We went out looking for ideas for Christmas gifts one day. The girls found these helmets and put them on all by themselves. Of course they picked out the pink ones. 

It got SO cold in November. The girls always look so cute all bundled up.

Visiting Bass pro shop and checking out their Christmas stuff. It was open yet, but the girls loved staring at it.

Abby helping me peel potatoes on Thanksgiving. She was next to me most of the time. I hope that she always loves to help me in the Kitchen. Its so fun having her in there with me.

The Thanksgiving spread. Derik and Kaity came over and had dinner with us too. I was so grateful they were there. It made the day that much more fun and special. We had SO much food. I made yams, green bean casserole, turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and rolls, 2 chocolate pies, a pumpkin pie and a banana cream pie. Kaity brought an amazing salad, the ham and 2 really yummy pies. It was a lot of food, for pretty much 4 people. Ha ha.

The Sunday after Thanksgiving we put up all of our decorations! It is so fun having our house be so festive. Juliet has pretty much destroyed the ornaments on the tree. Now they are clustered up at the top.

At the beginning of November we made a thankful tree. Abby loved this activity. She colored on a bunch of the leaves and loved taping them and putting them up on the wall. Jules just wanted to destroy and eat it.

Derik and Kaity surprised us with tickets to see Bastille! We were so excited. It was an incredible show. It only took us and hour and half to drive there. It should have taken 30 minutes. So we missed the opening act which was just fine for us. Ever since Coldplay we have been terrified of opening acts. Seriously incredible show. I just love that band!

Playing in the snow! This is the only snow we have had this year. It has been so warm! I'm afraid January and February are going to miserable. But we will take the nice weather as long as Colorado will give it to us!

I went into the school to have Kyle clean my teeth. It was so cool to see him at work. He did a great job. My teeth had never felt so clean. ha ha.

I had to take this picture of Thanksgiving prep the night before. The girls were both in the kitchen with me just destroying it, while I made a huge mess of the counters.

I went running early on Thanksgiving and this was the sunrise. Gorgeous!

Our stockings all hung up together. I love the way they all look together! I can't believe I made the bottom two! I feel very accomplished.
