9 Months

Dear Jane,

How are you already 9 months old? You are the most darling baby. Each month your personality comes out more and more. You are so different from your sisters. You really take in everything around you, you always seem to be analyzing things. You always have this little smile on your face that reaches all the way to your eyes. You were our earliest crawler. You figured it out right around Christmas. Now you cruise all over and pull yourself up on everything. You love to chase your sisters around and be in the middle of whatever they are doing. They are very patient with you... most of the time. :) You like to be wherever everyone else is. Your sisters are just about the only people that can really get you to laugh hard. You think they are very funny! Everyone else just gets a smile that seems to say "thank you for trying". We are in the process of transitioning out of nursing. You love baby food and real food. If we are eating I have to make sure there is something for you to eat as well. Transitioning out of nursing has been hard for me. We had that scare when you were two weeks old where I thought I wasn't going to be able to nurse you at all. So I've cherished every second of holding you and nursing you. Even those couple of months where you nursed for 45minutes every single time! But now that you can crawl you don't have as much time for me. You take a bottle great! Whether it is formula or breast milk or juice you will take it. So thats really nice. You sleep great! A morning nap, an afternoon nap and you sleep from about 8 to 7 every night. Now that you are crawling you are getting into everything. Its almost like you have figure out how every single thing in this house works... and what it tastes like. You have two super cute little teeth on the bottom! You gibber all day long. And with a little bit (a lot) of encouragement you are say ma ma ma ma. I love it! When you get shy you rest your head on mommy or daddy's shoulder and its our favorite thing you do. You have brought us 9 months of happiness! 

You are so incredibly beautiful. Your sweet little spirit shines through your eyes. You make our family feel more whole. You bring so much happiness to us. We are so grateful for you and can't wait to see where you go in life! I seriously can't believe that in only 3 short months you will be a year old. It goes too fast!
