Prom!

For my little Brother's Junior Prom we had the dinner at my parents house. It was crazy but it was a lot of fun! Here is what it looked like from the front door. They walked straight back into the back yard so they didn't see the craziness that was in the kitchen.

This is what the backyard looked like. It looked really neat when the sun went down. We had white lights all around the backyard (which confused Tragdon because it wasn't Christmas) and my dad had his flames going on the fountain by the pool. My sister Lacee and two of her friends were the waitresses. We had a full out menu that had 3 choices of drinks, 3 choices of salad, 2 main dishes (filet mignon and a delicious pasta dish) and then 3 choices of dessert. It was so yummy!

This is my gorgeous little sister-in-law Keri! I did her hair and makeup and it was a ton of fun. She is so beautiful and it was fun turning her into a princess!

This is my little brother and his date. Carson's hair and make up was a little bit more difficult. He needed a lot more work ;)It was a really fun and crazy night, but it was so fun to see all the girls in their beautiful dresses!

26 Weeks!

Dear baby girl,

This second trimester has been so much fun. My energy has been up and I finally started to look pregnant and not just like I was gaining a little bit to much weight. The funnest part of this pregnancy so far has been feeling you move. The bigger you get the more fun it is. Your dad loves to talk to you and to try and get you to kick him. I haven't had any weird cravings... I just crave food in general. We love looking at little girl clothes, and I love buying them when your dad will let me. :) We are getting more and more excited for you to get here! We love you so much!!

Baby its cold outside

This is the fountain in front of our apartment complex. It is totally FROZEN!!! I don't care who you are or where you live that is cold!

In Arizona its hard when all of the sudden we have freezing temperatures because unlike people that live in climates where freezing temperatures are expected we do not have winter clothes. We have jackets, not coats. I don't even own a pair of gloves. I always wear flip flops, always. It was so cold last week I actually had to dig socks out of the bottom of my drawers and wear shoes (I had to dig the shoes out of the back of my closet).

When we move we are going to have to buy some warm clothes and coats, gloves, hats, and more socks! We will also make sure our heater is in working condition every winter. In Arizona you don't think to make sure your heater is working, but you better believe we make sure the A/C works ever summer!!!

It was fun to have a little bit of fun weather, but we are grateful that it isn't freezing anymore, our Arizona bodies can't handle it very well.

And I'm happy to be back in flip flops.

September 29th 2010

I had this written down in journal, and I lost that journal... I just found it again and I want to get it on here before I lose it again because it was a day that I always want to remember.

Wednesday September 29th, 2010 was one of the best days of my life. I had been sick for about four days and we had been trying to get pregnant now for a year. We had gotten pregnant right when we first started trying but I miscarried very early in the pregnancy. Since then it had been a year and every month I would start to imagine all of the symptoms of pregnancy and every month I would be disappointed. I had come to the point that I was determined to not take another pregnancy test until I was 100% sure I was pregnant. I just couldn't handle looking at another negative pregnancy test. But I had been feeling so sick the past few days, and I was very late. I didn't have the flu, it felt different than that. I finally decided that if this was all in my head I needed to see the negative pregnancy test so that I could move on and this weird sickness would go away. I sent Kyle off to school because every time I got a negative test I would be sad for a little while, and I didn't want him to see that...again. So he left and had no idea I was going to take a test. I took it and got an immediate positive. I grabbed the box and kept checking to make sure that it meant what I thought it meant. It was so unreal. It finally hit me that this was real and I started crying, this time they were happy tears! I couldn't believe that I was actually going to be a mommy, and I guess this weird sickness was not going to be going anywhere for a long time! I started trying to think of how I was going to tell Kyle, just then he called me. He never calls me when he is driving to school so I was very surprised. I tried to control my voice because I didn't want him to know I was crying and answered. He had to ask me a question and I answered it. I didn't want to tell him he was going to be a dad for the first time over the phone but I was just bursting with excitement and I can't keep anything from him. So I told him I had some good news, and immediately he knew what I was talking about. Both of us started crying and couldn't believe that this was really happening. We talked until he got to school, then I got ready and met him a couple hours later for our institute class. Both of us couldn't stop grinning we were so excited. We couldn't really talk in institute so after we went out to lunch, the only thing that sounded good in the slightest was a salad with thousand island dressing so we went to restaurant near by that I knew had a really good salad. We had a really fun time trying to figure out my due date, and how far along I was. Both of us were trying to guess if we were having a girl or a boy. We figured I was about 6 weeks along, and I knew that I couldn't keep this a secret from our families so we decided we would tell them that night, although we knew we wanted to wait to tell everyone until I was at least 12 weeks. We went to my house first and gathered my family into one room and told them I was pregnant. It was fun to see everyone's reactions. Tragdon's was the best when I told him there was a baby in my tummy he looked at me with a very concerned face and asked me "why did you eat the baby?" After lots of hugs we went over to the Cordner's house. We both called our grandparents on the way over and told them the news. It was very fun to tell the Cordners because Kyle is always telling them we're pregnant, when we weren't. So at first no one believed him when he first said it, they all looked at me and I had to say it was really true this time. That day was so exciting and such a wonderful blessing. We are so excited to get to meet our little baby!!!

Dear Baby Girl,

First off thank you for finally making the sickness go away, it wasn't in time for thanksgiving but you did give me a Christmas miracle and gave me back my appetite! I wanted to tell you how excited your father and I are to find out that we are going to have a daughter. It was so fun to get to see you during the ultrasound, you are so active and it was fun to see your little arms and legs kicking and moving. It was so comforting to know that you are growing perfectly. We are so excited for you to get here, we already bought your crib and put it together and I convinced your dad that it isn't to early for me to start buying you clothes and I've bought some pretty cute ones! I can't stop picturing what you are going to look like and what kind of person you are going to be. I'm so glad that I will have you to be my little helper and I know that you are going to be such a special little girl. You are all we think about these days, your dad and I love to sit with our hands on my stomach and feel you kick. I'm sorry that I sometimes poke you or sit in positions that I know you don't like so that you will move. :) But I can't get enough of feeling you, even when your strong kicks wake me up the middle of the night. I am looking forward to the next 4 months being this close to you but I can't wait to have you here. I'm so grateful that I get to keep you forever. I love you baby girl!

Love, Mom

Exciting New Year

This was one of the best holidays I have ever had! Christmas was absolutely perfect, we spent Christmas Eve and early Christmas morning with my family. We had a fun Christmas Eve with a huge and wonderful dinner and then nativity play followed by sitting in the hot tub (only a little bit for me) and singing Christmas songs at the top of our lungs. Christmas morning was amazing, baby got some really fun presents and Kyle and I hit the jack pot. We have the most wonderful parents! They do so much for us and we are so grateful for all that they do for us!

Then we had Anika's birthday, she is the cutest little girl and she makes me so excited to be an aunt. I just LOVE her and going on walks to look at Christmas lights with her!

Then came New Years Eve which was one really really big party. All of my mom's brothers and sisters were able to come down to visit. My grandparents are serving a mission in Florida so its fun for all of us to make the effort to still get together. We had about 35 people, the majority of them under the age of 12 running around my parents house. It was a blast!

2010 was a really hard year for us. We are grateful that it is over and we can start out this new and exciting chapter in our lives. Kyle will graduate from ASU this year, we will apply to dental school and most exciting we will welcome our little baby into the world this year!

Here is my 20 week picture, I'm still in my regular jeans, with plenty of room before they get tight, but you can tell I am starting to get a little belly.
But the most excited news we had this holiday season came after New Years. It was hard for us to enjoy the end of the holidays because we were so excited for what was going to come right after them. We had our doctors appointment for the 20 week ultrasound and we are so pleased to announce that we are going to be having a baby....

GIRL
We are so excited and can not wait for her to get here so we can kiss that cute little face!

Here is her cute little profile

She would not stop moving around during the entire ultrasound, the tech had to keep poking her to get her to move around so that she could get the pictures that she needed. In this one she has her knee touching her nose... I'm glad that she is more flexible than her mom!

This is her cute little fist on her knee
Her adorable little feet

I know I may be a little bit biased but I already think she is the cutest thing ever! We are so excited to meet her!
