Need to vent!

So Colorado is absolutely gorgeous! Pictures are coming soon of our beautiful home. You should see the view outside of our house. It is all trees and plants and green grass. The weather is amazing, Kyle and I laughed this morning watching the news as the news casters were complaining about how hot it was.

But there has been this one thing that has been hanging over my head all week, and I need to vent about it. Moving into a new house always has its issues. You have to get your water, electricity, internet and TV set up. Anyone seen the Brian Regan bit on this? Its going to be a big nightmare, something about hell on earth. Ya we've been experiencing that this week. I am an online student through ASU and I am taking two courses this summer.
Kyle was awesome and called our internet provider before we moved so that they would come out and set up the internet ASAP. We moved in Monday and they came Wednesday to set up the internet. They didn't come out until 5:00 that day, but that was fine because I didn't have anything due until Midnight on Wednesday. So the guy comes, messes around outside, tells us we're good to go and leaves. Kyle goes to hurry and set it all up, and its not working. 4 hours later he is finally off the phone with tech support, and they say there is nothing they can do until MONDAY!!! I have a quiz due that night, a discussion due the next day, 3 homework assignments and 2 exams due on Sunday.

Needless to say I need internet, immediately. So that night I drove to a McDonalds and Starbucks to see if they had WiFi. Neither did, but a Del Taco across the street did, but it wasn't working and no one in the place spoke English so they couldn't help me. I drove to two other places, and wasn't able to find internet. So I had to take a zero on the quiz. The next day we call Quest to see if they can come and install the internet that day, they still can't. So I drive the public library that is right down the street from our house. Its closed three days out of the week: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Great. At this point I just start laughing, there is nothing else I could do. I drive home and we call a Barnes and Noble we saw that was pretty far away to check to see if they have WiFi. I drive there and realize the computer is about ready to die. I can't find a plug in the entire store, so I finally sit on the floor and rush through my homework that is due that day. Luckily I get it done right before the computer dies.

Today I head over to the library in the morning because we have some things that we need to get done this afternoon. Luckily the library is open and the internet is quick and everything is great. Except for one thing. I can't sign into MyASU the site I need to access all of my classes. I tried Safari and Google Chrome. Both are giving me the same crazy error. So I spent an hour in the library chatting with ASU tech support but they aren't able to help me. Restart my computer a couple times, and pray really hard. Finally I text Kyle and ask him to call quest one more time to see if they can come out. Kyle being the awesome husband that he is calls them and finally they have an opening. They are sending a tech guy out today between 1-5 (don't you just love those long openings where you have to sit at home and wait around for them?). But I don't care I am so grateful that they are coming out. Please please pray for us that it is an easy fix and that I will have convenient working internet in my home tonight.

I can't wait until this crazy part of the adventure is over and settled! Now if we could just getting Abby's teeth that are bothering her to pop out life would be great!

Just keep swimming right?

Dear baby,

Hello little one!

You are already so different from your big sister, this pregnancy has been so different from what I experienced with her. You have been much nicer to me in the sickness department, although I am still sick enough to not forget that you are there. I feel like I have already gained 100lbs for this pregnancy, but last time I went into the doctor I had lost weight and they were a little worried. Don't worry I've been eating an ice cream a day since to make sure you are healthy and strong :) Sometimes I get a little nervous about how I am going to handle all of this when you get here, but that feeling goes as quickly as it comes. All I need to do is look at the beautiful, fun little person your sister is growing into and I get so excited to meet you and watch you grow. Abby is going to be so excited to have a friend to play with. She loves to be busy and she loves to have someone help her in her mischief. I know that the two of you are going to be best buds. We are really hoping to get you here before Christmas so we can have a little baby Jesus for the Nativity play! We already love you so much and can't wait to find out if we are going to add a little boy or a little girl to the mix. I get so excited at the fact that I get to be a mother again, and I get to watch your daddy be a father again. We are so excited to see our little family grow, and add another precious spirit to our home.

We love you little baby!

Love,

Mom, Dad and big sister Abby

Disneyland!!!

We went on the funnest trip to San Diego with the Cordners and we were lucky enough to get spend 3 days in Disneyland!!!!! My favorite place on Earth. Abby was a sweet little angel in the park. She didn't love the 2 hour drive to and from the park, but she loved the park itself. We were usually up and going around 7:30 in the morning and didn't get home until 10 one night, and she would only take a 40 minute nap during the day. She is a crazy little girl, but she was always happy!

Abby loved this animators studio place. We went and saw turtle talk with crush and she loved being able to get down and crawl around.
Eating lunch at our favorite California Adventure restaurant.
She loved the carousel, she didn't love the drop at the beginning of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Kyle won her this Woody doll on the Pier in California Adventure. She wouldn't let him go and she loves to hug him.
Waiting for World of Color to start. We loved it, it was one of the coolest things we have ever seen!
The new partners statue in California Adventure. Look close at Abby's face. One of the cast members was trying to get her to laugh, she was not amused.
Abby's cheesy smile. Every time kyle sings a particular song to her she makes this cute face. She thinks her dad is so funny!
 After lunch at Ariels Grotto
In front of the Disneyland Partners statue
 Playing with Mickey Mouse
Cousins! These two little girls had so much fun together.
I love these two little girls! It's so fun to be an aunt.
 Happy little girl!
We had so much fun getting to spend time with all the Cordners and making memories with them. Hopefully we'll get to do it again someday!

Dear Abigail,

Its been one whole year. I can't even believe it! I can't believe that last year at this time I was holding you in my arms for the first time. I remember how small and helpless you were. How you needed me for everything. I loved snuggling you and getting to know you. You have become my best little buddy. I love doing everything with you. You have grown so much! You love to crawl around everywhere and walk along the furniture. You love to climb on everything. You are really getting fast at getting up the stairs, we just have to teach you how to go back down. You love to "talk" on the phone. You will take anything that even remotely resembles a phone and hold it up to your ear to talk. You wave bye bye and night night. You give very sweet kisses and awesome high fives. You love to play with your toys and read your books. You will crawl all over the house looking for something to play with. You love to eat and will eat whatever it is that I am eating. You have the most beautiful blue eyes and they still melt me every time you look up at me. Your little teeth that are coming are making your smile sweeter and sweeter, you have two on bottom and two on top making their way in. You absolutely love to play with Aunt Lacee's dog Jack, although he doesn't like to play with you very much. You chase him all over the backyard and as soon as you get to him, he gets up and moves away again. You have the funniest little personality. You are full of sweetness with equal parts sass. Whenever we tell you "no no" you turn around a give us a very irritated face. You still love music so much. You will rock out in your carseat to your favorite songs. You will clap your hands and nod your head to the music. You love to smile and talk to everyone in the grocery store. I am still your favorite person and I hope that it always stays that way. I love being your mother Abby. This past year has taught me so much about love and patience. You make your parents so happy and we are so grateful that Heavenly Father sent you to us.

Happy Birthday!

We Love you!

A lot of people go to college for 8 years...they're called Drs.

Ok so it hasn't taken me 8 years, but it sure feels like it! But I have finally registered for my final college classes. I  will be graduating this December!

Its been a long, really long, boring road. But I am so grateful for my parents and my husband that keep pushing me to complete my degree. As much as I hate school (like with a passion greater than anything) I will be so happy to have my degree.

I have actually completed all of my required classes for my degree in Human and Family development, so my last few classes consist of classes like nutrition, psychology and rock music and culture. If they offered an online version of underwater basket weaving I would be all over that too.

Its going to be a crazy last two semesters (summer, and fall) but then I will be finished FOREVER!!!

I will get my beautiful piece of paper, frame it and put it up on the wall.

I'm so close I can almost taste it.

Feel free to celebrate with me. We will be having the party of the century come December 11 up in Colorado. You will probably hear me partying clear down in Arizona!

Now if I can just keep up the motivation I feel now throughout the 8 months I will be fine!

Wish me luck!

You've had a birthday shout Hooray!

Nobody in my family got the office reference...
It was Kyle's 25th birthday last week! And we had so much celebrating all week long!
We started out on Saturday by going to dinner with the Cordners to Tia Rosas (kyle's favorite restaurant) because Tara was in town from Idaho.
On Kyle's birthday which was Tuesday we went to Joe's Farmhouse Grille with my family so that Kyle could get a free meal for his birthday. Then we had a delicious funfetti cake that I made with my mad cake decorating skills. Watch out cake boss, I might just take over!
Kyle got a new belt and new hair clippers so that I can keep cutting his hair, and Dr. Pepper (that was probably his favorite gift this year). I actually gave Kyle his belt a day early because I couldn't stand looking at his belt which was literally falling apart! Kyle is the lowest maintenance person which is one the things that I love most about him.
My dad got us tickets to the Diamondbacks game that Friday. We went with my parents and the cordners. It was so fun! It was Abby's first pro baseball game and I didn't get any pictures. :( Abby loved it, she had made friends with every single person around us by the time we went home. She is so friendly and hilarious.

Abby helping dad open his gift

My dad also gave Kyle some tickets to the Suns game, and offered to watch little Abby for us so we could go on a date. We had so much fun and went out to dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory and then got sonic ice cream after the game. It was so fun to be with just kyle. I love that husband of mine and we have a really good time together!
having a good time at the game...notice kyle isn't looking at the camera he couldn't take his eyes off the game.
Go Nash! We will miss you when we are in Colorado!
When I went on my first date with Kyle he was 20 years old! Its been a fun crazy ride so far and it is only going to get more crazy and more fun. I love my 25 year old hunk of a husband. He is the best!

Oh and the best part about him being 25... he can now rent a car in all states and we don't have to pay an extra fee. Whoot Whoot!

Happy Birthday My Love!

I look forward to next year!
